March: 100th view done! All caught up.....

*ahem*Well, it's Feb. 27. March will be pretty busy so I'm not sure if I'd get a blog in. Let's begin with a crazy month:

In case you didn't read, I fell back 6.5 views on a vacation due to my iPod being restored, which means everything got deleted thus eliminating Wall-E putting me way behind. When I got home and put it back on, I realized my 100th day was not far ahead, 15 days in fact. How could I be behind on such an important marker in the challenge? Somehow I managed to motivate myself to watch 1.5 or 2 times a night for 15 days- ouch. This is for sure easier said than done. You can probably imagine watching a movie 2 times in a row, it's not THAT hard. However, having seen in 90 times and knowing you'll be watching it 500 makes it parallel to sprinting in a marathon about a few miles in.

Somehow this feat was done. It's incredibly hard for me to believe and it sounds too easy for me just to make up the catch up (mmm, ketchup). So I have a hard time myself thinking about it. Just trust me, I did it. Haha, after all, this isn't about me impressing you guys. If it were I'd make it way more publicized. This is a personal goal to prove how crazy I am. Having said that, let's move on!

For future trials there are no plans (thank goodness). My goal is to be able to re-create the sounds and soundtack incredibly good while watching the movie with no headphones or sound. The music of WALL-E keeps me going when I get bored of it. Ah.... *plays Define Dancing in head* oh what? Oh, right- I'm blogging.

That's all for February! Next blog should be maybe late next month or Early April. Seriously, how exciting would it be to write a blog every week about watching a movie over and over? Once a month works good. See you then!

Feb: A bad iPod mistake

Views: 79 Day: 85 -- Not good. Let me explain:

Well, I went on a week trip to Colorado. With a 15-ish hour drive one way I was bound to make up the 3.5 views I was behind. All was well, I watched it a few times in the car, and the first night I made another view. My iPod needed to be charged the next day.

My brothers MacBook laid right next to my couch (where I slept) so why look for a charger? I plugged it in and didn't unplug it until night. "Time to catch up another view." I though. Scrolling through the video section it read "arimasen" in Japanese (which means "there's nothing"). Weird, there was no music either. Dang it.... I sysnced my iPod on another computer thus deleting everything on it.

So I fell back 3 views on that trip bringing me 6.5 views behind. Sadly I've challenged to watch it 1.5 times for 2 whole weeks, that's painful. Oh well, I can recite it a lot better now. So, my goal is to be 100% caught up by the 100th day. See you later!

Introduction to the WALL-E 500 (read first)

The WALL-E 500 was my idea about 5 months ago. It's a 500 day challenge of watching WALL-E from second 1 to second 5891 (the whole movie) 500 times in 500 days; on weekends, holidays, vacations, every day. Currently I've been watching it on my 248 ppi iPod Nano video. The quality is far better than you think it would be, trust me.

At the time of this post it's my 53rd night in a row successfully watching it. I fell behind 4 days at a friends but since then I've caught up 1 view, so sadly I'm behind 3, but I'm catching up. So, here are the rules for the challenge I'm performing:

1. No sleeping during the movie. If I sleep, I gotta watch the part I slept through the next night.
2. I must be focusing on the movie- not just listening to it while doing something else.
3. Skipping a night is allowed, but I'll have to watch it 2 times the next day.
4. Theater views do NOT count (I saw it three times in theaters, so really it's my 56th time tonight)

There you have it. I'll be buying a netbook soon, and I plan on making a new entry once every 1-2 months, because, well, it's not THAT interesting to update every week. This is a physcological test, and the results towards the end should be interesting! So stay tuned!
